There is no real way to tell the music to fade when you click a button.
How it works in Flash is you pick a key frame and add the Music to it.
Next set it to START in the Sync box
and set the amount of times you want it to loop.
Now in the waveform window you scroll
all the way to the end of the looped music
and manually add a fade out.
Now like i said there is no way that i know of to get to that last loop and play it before the scene changes.
There are some work a rounds to this
which are ideas of mine.
so if you want to know more reply.

for beats and stuff I don't think there's any hope, but if you're using a string or something with a continuous sound you can jerry rig something that kind of works. Create a file that fades in and out from 0 top 100% volume, say over 1 sec. Make a movie clip that is 1 second long and place the sound in the first and the half way frame. Right before the last frame, put an action that tells the movie to go to one and play. As the movie clip repeats it will create the feeling of a continous sound even though it is two fadeing in and out on top of each other. Then in the last frame put the sound a thrid time with a stop action. When your action is executed tell the movie clip to go to the last frame and play, the sound will fade out.
good luck,
