Ok so I hate the 16khz mono sound, especially for a projector file!
can flash call to a .wav file that is on a CD but not embeded in flash? could play with the users default media player for windows, or the default player for macs?
just a thought, but this might be the best solution to the program crashing after import of the large sound file. I looked at the .wav file and it is roughly 45 megs ( no wonder it is crashing!!)

Any suggestions on this new idea?

I don't htink it is possible for flash to call on an external wave file, but I know that it is possible to have your HTML odc embed or call on a wave file. You would have to set the file so that it would sit outside the flash movie, and correspond with the animation within the movie, that is if that is what you need. Cheers, Steve

If your creating a projector then import orignal .wav file
that is 44.1khz 16bit stereo.

Your problem is that when you do t Flash crashes right?
Bummer...

Did you try closing all other programs running
and just import the .wav into an new scene?
if that works
then you may be able to just tranfer it over to your other library...

If this is for a projector presentation why not just set the bits per second (in publish settings) to the maximum value allowed (128 I think)? You'll then get 44kHz stereo quality when you publish the movie.

Or you could try RealFlash which can synchronise a flash presentation with a wav sound.
