I recently had a problem trying to mask over plain text (the text wouldn't show in the test-movie mode when a mask was placed over it). The only solution I found was to break the text apart, then it worked just as expected.

Is this the only way to mask over text (by breaking it apart) or did I do something funky? The part of the scene I was working on was quite large/unorganised so it's possible that I did something wierd.

    Anyway, any thoughts on this?

    Cool

I think you had some good old flash voodoo going on. It works fine both ways as the mask and as the masked item. I just tested it. Sometimes I find that when files get large they start to act funky. Regards, Bill
