I have a problem with transporting my .fla's from work to home and vice versa.
I copy my .fla and .swf's to a CD-Rom, but Flash won't work from the CD-Rom or from the files when I transfer to my Hard Drive.
The .swf works okay, but when I open the .fla I get an error message that says somethignlike:
"cannnot read file please ensure you are not working
from a locked drive or your filename is too long"
Has anyone encountered this?
What do I do?
Thanx in advance for any advice.

I don't exist!
I think it's because Flash detected that it can't save files into CD-ROM, so an error msg came out. Not sure though. However you can try to copy the *.fla file onto your hard disk before u open it with flash~ good luck

u need to copy the fla from ur cdrom to ur hdd and then set the read-only property to false for that file. when u burn something to a cd, all the files will auto be set the read-only.

You can use the "Long Path Tool", it is helpful in copying and deleting the files with long filename or extension.
