    Does anyone know what kind of tests agencies or headhunters give to designers that register with them to look for work?

    While I have never taken a test with any type of agancy for placement, I would have to say the best thing to do would be to call one up and ask. I'm sure that if an agency or headhunter requires a test, they're all probably different tests.
    It would be interesting to know what you find out, though, and if any others have had experiences with this.

    In 6 years I have only ever had 1 agency where I had to do a test. The test was on my knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and it was in the form of a director projector.

    With all other agencies I have not had to do anything except prove my compentence.. showing and talking about my portfolio.

    Its not a bad idea to call up the agencie and ask some questions:
    - do they have a computer where you can show work ?
    - is it PC or mac ?
    - do you need to bring anything ?
    - etc
