    Really simple question
Im having this stupid problem thats never happened before.

Take a look at this page.

    http://www.fusionarena.com/test.htm

basic. Just a skinny header table on the top with a blue/green background.

I want the color blue to be flush all the way across the top, left and right of the browser.

I set the width of the table at 100% And also set all the margins to 0. Yet, I still see a small white space near the top and to the right of the table. It only dissapears when you click refresh.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

why not use a long background 1201 pixels high, and set it to one pixel wide. set it as your background withing DreamWeaver. It will fill the browser. just make the first pixels from the top down to whatever pixels you need down - say forty pixels - and use the color you want. then, fill the rest with what other colors you want/need.

just an option. it's what I'm doing here

thanks gerb. lol I double posted this in FA.

Thats a good idea you have, the only problem is the content on my page is long (as you have already seen). So if I use that background method...the top part that I want colored will appear again a few times throughout the page, the further you go down. I guess i could make the bg image really tall. Whats the maximum length you can make a bg image? My page is 3,400 pixels long.

hmmm... damn. 3400. max pixels can be any size... I once did one that was 2800 with no issues. an extra 600 should be no issue.

However, I've got some code that will do exactly what you want... lemme go find it.

good thing it's cross-browser/cross-OS compatible code...

thanks man. Im actually using your earlier suggestion. I made a verticle background image like you said and it works great. I made it real long so you cant tell. Problem solved!

Ahh. No wonder you're a mod now.
