Sonique, Winamp style Visuals

Hey Guyz and Galz,

I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to simulate or actually make visuals react to sound, just like the visuals on Sonique or Winamp.

I can simulate it, but I'm kinda curious...

Can you help me?

It is possible, but it's not easy, and near impossible to do natively in Flash (5 anyway). The key is being able to get some sort of FFT information from the sound file to use as variables for your effects. Once you have that, it's just a matter of coding your effect to make use of that info.
