i know flashtyper 2.0 converts fla files from pc to mac, but is there anything for the other way around? i made something in flash on a mac. then i emailed the fla to myself and tried to open it on my pc. flash 5 then says "unexpected file format."

Usually, there's not any problem to open a .fla on a PC. Maybe you should try to compress your file (as a .zip, or as a .sit) before send it...

Zipping it up is a good idea, because you never know what certain mail servers are doing to your file as it passes through. Also, be sure that the file name is filename.fla (it's old school, but stick with 8.3 naming format), where 'filename' is the name of your file. PC files don't have a resource fork, so you MUST put the three character extension at the end.
    Hope this helps,
    Joe
