I'm doing a navbar and I want the button to fade out on the HIT state so I made the HIT state a movie clip.
BUT when a draw the rectangle around it so users will not have to click the text then the animation part doesn't work...Can anyone help???

I'm sure there's a more sophisticated way of doing it, but how about making the button as normal, then attaching an 'on release go to...' and send it to a frame containing the button fadeout movieclip? Then send it on its way to the next destination.

Why the hell did not I think about this????

    BUT...
You can't do that...animation will play itself eventhough
you put tha Action on the button. You have to make the animation on the HIT state so it wont activate itself until the user HITS it

How about attaching a 'Stop' action to the frame before your fading button movieclip frame? You should label this frame and direct your button script to it.
