very cool, I really like that.
However, labeling it as Bauhaus, I think that's a stretch.

The way you've combined a few things there as a collage is really nice.

A word of creative/descriptive advice: Don't think you need to call it a splash page (I know in the post you say it's not) because you feel you need to label it as something. I sometimes get the impression that people are quite taken up with what category an image of theirs needs to fit in. Just make artwork, make images, let them be what they are. I've got so much artwork and design work on my computer that I've done over time that never really had an intention. So many things are just images I wanted to make, and images that often made themselves. It's only when I go back to them weeks, months later that I see their possibilities as a page layout, or splash page, or a poster, that sort of thing.

Know what might be cool? The arrow that looks like it should align with the edges of the tractor arm: Curve the top of the arrow out so it is the width of the arm where the image stops. Might be kind of cool. You've got two nice implied curves in the arms of the tractor that would really translate well somewhere else in the image.

I think you should really work on increasing the dimensions, it's cool as it is, but sometimes I see things that seem to beg for being bigger. Arrows, yes, they're overdone everywhere it seems, but you've set up angles with them that need to be brought out (if you increase the size) and if you were to play around with it for a bit, you could totally build a grid system that will help you structure the rest of it if you made it bigger.
[that kind of grid: I think vertical lines and the 45 degree lines to the vertical. no horizontal, except where implied by intersections of the diagonal and vertical lines]
    I think that makes sense.

Nice going, hope to see it evolve.

I knew this was gonna get criticised. Guess it was the arrows
and the colors wich made me say that. And offcourse the
overwhelming feeling you get when you've made a design of wich
your quite happy. sorry bout that

Great insight yuo've given me mg33. I agree with the dimensions.
Guess it's kinda small and increasing size opens up lots of possibilities.

I started this as a 700x300 splash but ended up with something
that would look better on a 32x40 cm poster.
    Isn't designing a strange thing?

Anyway, gonna keep your post in mind. And give that image
another shot. I'll keep you informed.

    thanks

With that "bauhaus/industrial/experimental" bit in the title I thought I was up for some gothic/industrial music

Just a little thing, but the small text is a a little grubby, I think that might have something to do with the top of the machinery making the line unstraight.
