    Post

    To all who reads this,
My name is Joseph I am the President of Elephantshoe, Inc. an IT Service Company. We just started web hosting and want to offer up to you, the actual web designers, the ability to make some additional cash. Basically you bring clients on with us and I will cut you a check for 25% for each and every account. This is a residual payment every month not just a one time deal. This is no gimmick nor a ploy. I take my business very serious and treat thos I do business with, with a great deal of respect. My site will be accessible Wed. 2/27/2002. This will give you and idea if you as designers are interested. the website has my contact info.

Hope to hear from some of you soon.

    Joseph Ruiz

    is it a unix box?

what kind of statistical logging do you have

is there a control panel for the client?

    How many email addresses? pop3?

    etc etc

    Razor, tell me more.

What kind of functionality/bandwidth do you get for that?
    I might be interested.

under pricing is the info about each package offered. This is a monthly price sheet.

to razormadia, the conversion of what you pay to $ is $39.923 per year. That is unheard of pricing in the US. Check under our network to see why our service has the pricing it does. What I'm getting at is my network infrastructure is in a world class data center designed for redundancy and failover. 24hr staff and leading edge tools.

to all who read, check out the demo link to the control panel. this will show the service we offer.

I am not critisising you in any way, your prices are not the most expensive I've seen and also not the cheapest either, they seem pretty reasonable to me.

Its a very competitive market and your 'affiliate' scheme is very tempting as my clients literally haven't got a clue and would not even know where to start looking around for hosting.

anyway, good luck with this, you never know, I may put business your way myself.

    web hosting

    Hi

I have been thinking about hosting recently. I am currently registered with domainnames.com and have my hosting done by them.

I have two domain names registered http://www.dissectionroom.com and http://www.newmediamedicine.com.

I originally purchased hosting when i first registered dissectionroom.com but I have been told that I have to purchase a separate hosting package to host my other domain name. They have recently put their price up to 150 quid a year for the services I need so at the moment I just have http://www.newmediamedicine.com pointing to a folder on dissectionroom.com

I'm going to be registering quite a few new domain names to reflect different types of site I am developing and would like each to have their own space.

Would anyone be able to tell me if they know a cost effective way of doing this. Is the solution to set up my own hosting on my own computer system? I get about 1000 hits/day on dissectionroom.com but it is growing quickly. I don't want to waste money by employing a company to host my sites if I'm just going to end up doing it myself anyway.

    Thanks for your help

    Chris

    Re: web hosting

Check out prevo.net for some very cheap hosting. Don't be fooled by their website, the service is great. This guy is all about hosting. (No, I don't work for him, OK.)
I have directed many clients his way, and all have been satisfied.
