    control multiple timelines w/ 1 button?

    Here is what I am trying to do with a single button located within a mc on the root level in Scene 2:

    on (release) {

    //Goes to the first frame in Scene 3 labeled "portfolio"

    _root.gotoAndPlay("portfolio");

    //At the same time, I want it to go to a frame labeled "motion", which is in a MC instance called portfolioNav on the main timeline in Scene 3

    _root.portfolioNav.gotoAndPlay("motion");

    //I also want it to load "agilent.swf" in _level1

    loadMovieNum ("agilent.swf",1);
    }

    OK, What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance for your help. I owe you a coffee or something!

    I'm not sure what's not working...but I'm guessing that it's the action of:

    _root.portfolioNav.gotoAndPlay("motion");

    I think, to get this to work (not sure though) that you will need to put the action on the main timeline in scene three. Then it will be played when you get there, otherwise, I think it will be trying to send a command to a movie clip that isn't even on the timeline yet.
