Is it possible to apply a texture reflection or texure mapping within Swift 3D v2 ?
If not, any suggestion to get a good metal effect?

what's up love33139. as far as true texture mapping within Swift3D... it's not possible. I am going to say the same for reflections as well.

There have been many answers on this in the past about how to "fake" it by taking the projects into Flash, and via masks and hand skewing the textures (for simple, flat faces) it would possible. but hard/time consuming.

I know... probably what you did not want to hear

    btw, welcome to Flashkit.

    I've seen it done before.

You can't apply textures into Swift 3D. If you want textures and reflections in a flash project, I suggest:

rendering it in a true 3D program (Lightwave, 3D Studio Max)

output the animation frames into seperate jpgs

import the animation sequenced frames into Flash

now trace the frames into Vectors and you should get a nice effect.

Not what you want to hear, but it's the only way I know how to do it.

Smile Re: I've seen it done before.

When you say "now trace the frames into vectors", you mean frame by frame, right?
Is there some sort of magic wand or other fast masking instrument I could use instead of doing it by hand?
Actually I also never tried to apply a mapping to a vector, can you suggest a tutorial with a similar exercise I could use?
    Thanks
