embarassing preloader problem

ok... so im a little pissed.
i have used the same preloader for every thing ive done for over a year.... and all of a sudden it doesnt work on this clip... ive tried making a new FLA and it doesnt work there either..

What exactly is the problem? Does it check the correct frame to be loaded?

the way the preloader is set up.... it has 2 frames... the preloader frame... and the frame with the clip... the problem i am having is that the preloader does not show up until it is complete...then it flashes the full bar and goes to my clip... this preloader has served me well ... i dunno what is wrong with it now...
