    hi,

Wich of these should make it to the second round?

    http://users.skynet.be/bk335056/stuff/logo_ap.jpg

It's a logo for an event service.
    They do teambuilding, sports, adventures.
    Mostly hired by companies.

It's got to be simple and clear. Cause it will be used on flags alot.

    Appreciate your feedback.

    [edit]
for easy comments let's say they're numbered like this:
    1. 2. 3.
    4. 5.
    6.
    7.

first off put them all in rows and columns so they don't overlap visually then it will be easier to tell. Just seperate them out more like this : http://www.rigent.com/projects/shorelync/ but with thinner or no lines

otherwise i like the second from bottom one, or the mountain one.

The one at the top left is my favorite. They're all quite nice, though my least favorite is probably the bottom one. Though it gets all the info there, it doesn't seem as condensed as most of the others, which is a really nice aspect of #1.

The nice thing about these is that they instantly adhere to the format I learned about creating logo's in Ad. courses in college: We were taught that logos (keep in mind this wasn't oriented to digital/web work, rather, print), when in color, need to be easily transferable to B&W, for newspaper use, or for B&W use in other formats, often due to cost issues. When you see a logo, it shouldn't be so complex that in a B&W or greyscale format it would look bad.

I think your logos for the most part achieve this. The strength in many of them is their layout, and not their colors. Take # 1, I think it is the winner in this aspect. It's going to have the same appearance in any colors as it would in B&W.

Let me know what medium these are intended for, or if they're entirely for the Internet. I would think that if these are submissions for a company, they're not going to be strictly for the Internet.

Good Luck, I think some of them are very nice, and I always enjoy seeing work a member has done that is not only obviously explorative (as in having that many ideas for the logo) but for the most part very clean as far as layout and presentation.

    Take Care,

    thank you, really appreciate this.

mg33, great words about logodesign. I didn't have any class
in logodesign, though I read alot about it.
You really know what logodesign is all about.
I agree about logo #1. Wich is my personal favorite too.

the logo isn't strictly gonna be for internet, (though, they let me build their website soon ) but will be used
on the companies note-paper, envelopes and large flags.

My greatest concern is readability on the flags. Wich are
    never flat.

    thanks so far.

what's wrong with top right? I like it more than the first one (although the the first is my second favorite). I feel that it has more of a contemporary look.

No problem, glad to help you out.

In comparing # 1 and 3, the circles on 3 are nice, but #1-everything there fits so perfectly, everything blends well. The circles on 3 don't seem to have a place there, they seem distracting. just how I see it.

now that you explain your view, I agree. The circles really don't have to be there, whereas, on the first one, the design over the A just seems to fit well. I endorse the first one now too. mg33, you do have good logo experience.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Sometime if you're at a bookstore with a decent graphic arts section, check out some logo books. There are quite a few books just showing tons of logos. The good ones, you'll see they have a certain quality to them-everything just fits perfectly.

I don't have that much to show as far as logos, many were done in college and are not on my computer. I do have this, though, which was a submission to a potential client last year for corporate branding/image and a business set. They didn't go with mine (although the person I was going through favored it) the client ended up going with something different. It was nice, not what I had in mind, but what they want, they get. Everything there I created.

I'll be glad to talk to your client, at my usual rates, of course.

#6 would be the best, if you could make the AP more legible.
The others look a tad bit generic, if you ask me.

    (which you didnt)

    Good work.
