what about exe filesize

To me this increased dramatically with F5. I send a lot of these to family, many of whom do not have the player installed on their machines.

Does anyone know if they reduced the file size of the exe player?

Good point, but a hard one to answer. How about we wait up until the 15th and we see what happens? (unless some of the guys out there know the answer already)
