    So MX means nothing specific, it's a graet marketing idea ... do you saw all this "what is the meaning of MX" threads? Great marketing is all I can say. (And I'm sure the MX products will be even greater!)

    Flash MX - Marketing eXcuse

    Yep, Good Marketing Idea.

    Personally I don't think it's innovative though...

    It's been a year since Microsoft named Visual Studio (7) "Visual Studio .NET". Microsoft hae gone through many of their products and services and added this ".NET" moniker.
    It seems Macromedia have decided it's working, and that it might work for them.

    Anyone willing to make a guess as to the next name?
    Anyone know if Adobe are going to take this route too?

    Microsoft should name all their products "XB" (eXtended Bug)

    MX --> maybe Multimedia eXtreme

    Guess you haven't tried Win XP Pro yet have you?

    I am definately as far as they come from being a Microsux advocate, but Win XP Pro is a great product.

    Yeah, Win XP is not bad (I still love my G4 Mac), but in general, MS products have a lot bugs. (Just had one five minutes ago in Word that crashed the hole system)

    But anyway, programs are so much bigger then ten years ago, so no wonder that they crash sometimes. Thx god that the Flash plugin runs very stable.

    Maybe M(acintosh), (Windows) X(P)? They do market to both sides of the street.

    Macromedia Xpanded


    These new products are the next generation of products of Macromedia. It's the eXpanded line of products.
