I know it might be a bit to early on this one but...
We are working on a CD based project which would incorporate video, animation and some basic pdf files.
Noticing all the post regarding Director vs Flash plus the video audio sync stuff we were wondering.

    1. Upgrading our Mac Flash 5 version to Flash 6 (of course) but..
at the same time buying a PC version and testing on that platform also....

Conclusion: what version to use so as to avoid bugs and nasty surprises when we get to the time critical moment of testing on all platforms and boxes.

The Flash video is still limited to 16,000 frames- read Pope de Flash's reviews and comments on it in the Flash MX board from the beta testers and Macromedia employees.

As far as interporability with Director and Flash you need Flash 5 and Director 8.5.

As far as difrences in the PC and Mac players read up on that in the MAC board- there are diffrences. One of them being that Flash on the Mac does not like files larger than 8 meg. They also playback at difrent speeds although the PC Flash Player plays back at diffrent speeds between machines anyhow.
