    Hello guys. I had this idea to create a button and on the "over" frame to insert another button. So I created two buttons, I inserted the second one into the "over" frame and played the movie. When I went with me cursor above the area of the first button, everything was ok, the second button appeared. When I continued with my cursor over the second button, a continuous blinking appeared which wouldn't let me click the second button and perform the action (except that it is very bad looking). I checked the hit area of the first button (in case that the second button was outside the hit area) but everything seemed right. Any ideas?

    ela thodora!

    you should try it with actionscripting!
    its much easier...

    1] create two buttons a and b
    2] place them into a movie-clip
    3] a on frame 1
    4] b on frame 2
    5] place a stop action on each frame...
    6] on button a use:

    on (release) { //or whatever else
    gotoAndStop(2); //here is button b
    }

    7] the same you can do with button b

    ...hope that helped!

    {ps} r u greek?

    Yeah I' Greek

    I understand what you are saying but I want the second button to be into the "over" frame of the first (they both already are into a movie clip)

    ok...

    all you have to do then is use instead of
    'release' - 'rollOver'

    eg in button[a]:
    on (rollOver) {
    gotoAndStop(2); //the frame where button b is in
    }

    and then in button b you could do something like:

    on (rollOut) {
    gotoAndStop(1); //which of course is the frame where button b is in...
    }

    try that!

    {ps} where from in greece?

    I dont have solution except making one of these two buttons as movieClip and do (mouseOver+hitTest) to simulate rollOver.

    I explain why there is the "blinking".

    The outer button keeps swapping between Up frame and Over frame when you put your mouse over the inner button.

    Only one button can take the event. So the inner button take over the 'rollOver' event, and the outer Button lost the event and recovered to its Up frame, there the inner button is unloaded.

    However, after the inner button disappear, the outer button got the mouse among its hit region, so it takes the event and goes to Over frame again, etc etc.

    If you also have your inner button in the Up frame of outer button , then the blinking will not appear because the inner button is not unloaded. You can see how the event is taken over and see the change of the button states. But this is not the effect that you want.

    Hello Greek friends,

    since I saw your messages, I thought I could give a try...

    I am having problem to load Greek Characters on a dynamic Text, from XML file to Flash MX. Since days I am trying to solve this problem without any success. Did someone had the same problem?

    I did try Unicode, XML Data entities, specialized apps...It works fine at my Browser (Windows XP-Explorer 5) but not in SWF (except when you are using english fonts). The best I could achieved was to get "blank" entries.

    Any ideas?
