Thread: Pre-built components?

  1. #1
Can anybody shed some light on the pre-built components?

    1. Are these implemented the same way as in F5? I mean, SmartClips?

    2. Can someone with the beta share with us lesser-mortals, the properties and methods of the ListBox pre-built component?

    Much appreciated,

They are basically like Smart clips, drag them on and fill in the properties. Though, they are way more extendable, and skinnable.

they are much easier to use than smart clips, and are much, much more powerful.

yep - I think of them like that as they're pretty similar only with way more added features. However at time you amy want to make your own . For instance you may experience probs if you have a dynamic text field and attach a scrollbar component to it and when you run it you find it doesnt work - which means you probably dont have enough text in there . Theres a way round this but you;ll find at times depending on the application and your interface its worth doing your own

Can yuo tell me more, particularly

    on the ListBox:

    - Are there a methods to add/remove/insert items?

    on the drop-down

    - Is there a limit on the number of items you can add?
I need to load a list of all the countries for a Flash-based shopping cart. With the current SMartClip, this is not possible...
