Shared font symbols

I have asked this question a couple of days ago, but got no answer...

Do shared font symbols actually work across movies in FMX?

It was supposed to work in Flash 5, but did not... you had to export fonts for each movie using dynamic text.

I saw your note, and it was strange to me too that your post didn't generate more responses. But anyway, here is what I think after reading through the link you placed:

Yes.

Shared font symbols do work across MX flash movies... ANd if I am not wrong that is one of the main reasons note 14786 was released.

This behavior is not expected and is a known issue. The text in the dynamic text field should appear in the text field, but does not. Macromedia is aware of this issue and is investigating ways to address this in a future version.
