    In the sample load_image slide show included with MX I can figure out how to add more images and change the counter. Now how can I add a "caption window" (below the controls) that will advance in sync with the jpegs?..

    This is how i'd do the whole thing

    EDIT NOTE;
    the code in the whle loop is picArray[*i] = j + ".jpg"; without the star.

    Code:
    picArray = new Array();
    max = 10;
    i=0;
    j=0;
    while(i < max)
     {
      picArray[*i] = j + ".jpg";  //without the star!
      i++
      j++
      }

    textArray = new Array();

    textArray[0] = "Text for caption on the first pic";
    textArray[1] = "Text for caption on the second pic";

    i=0;

    function nextPic()
    {
      i++
      picTarget.loadMovie(picArray[*i]);
      textTarget.text = textArray[*i]); //without stars!
     }

    Then on the button to go to the next pic you put

    Code:
    on(press)
    {
     nextPic();
    }
    I haven't looked at the MM preview.. but this code above is how I nice cause you can load in the pics dynamically and not have to worry about "gotoAndStop" and all that...

    Hope this helps some one
