Action slideshow

Hi all happy flashers

I call upon all you bright people on a slideshow issue.
I've searched all over this board but haven't found an answer to it so here goes....

I want to make a simpel slideshow without having to use x-thousands keyframes and all those tweens, which fades in the first picture, makes a pause, fades out the picture, fades in the next picture, makes a pause, fades out that picture.. and so on
This would then be the slideshow1.swf which is loaded into the main movie from a button.
It would be great to have a stop, play, back and forward button to let the user jump backwards and forwards through the pictures.
It would be great to have some form of visual presentation of where in the slide you are..like "picture 2/10"

I want to be able to change the fade in/out time and pause time in some variables, and when the last picture has faded out tell the main timeline of the main movie to jump to a label and stop.

Any help would be highly appreciated

Have you tried the new slideshow in flash mx?

If you have mx click File->New From Template->PhotoSlideshow->Create after that there are instructions to guide you in the process.
