    Please let me know:

    a. what you think of it
    b. what you think I could do to improve it
    c. let me know if you encounter any difficulties with it.

Somehow, the preloader didn't seem to work too well with my connection which unfortunately is very slow :-(

    Thanks!

    A. I think you've done a great job with the flash website.

    B. Maybe make the images to where they are bigger *shurgs* like so you can put them on desktop

    C. There were no difficulties

    again great job

    A. Nice and simple site
    B. - maybe you should put the scroller in a distinguished box ?
    - IMHO, the layout kinda plain and the photography section should be in the same place as the about and contact ...
    - the "click for larger image" text is kinda blurry ... need to adjust the x & y position values into round integer
    C. no problemo so far

    Thanks Angie,

glad you liked it! If you want you can have a look at:
    http://home.hccnet.nl/a.gosman for some more pictures.
As far as larger images are concerned: I'd like to but I need to find a way to restrict the filesize. The external swf's now range from about 35 to 60k and I don't want them to become larger.

Iwa, thanks for your comments. I was wondering about the scrollbar as well. I"ll try to find a way to make it a bit more obvious.

I'll check your site later as well, I have to go offline now.....

If anybody else likes to comment on my site, please do!!

OK, once more the same question: what do you think of it.

I changed the site a bit and added some more pictures.

Especially people on a 56k line: any problems with the preloaders?
Somehow the first preloader only kicks in at about 50%. When I check the bandwidth profiler, it shows me that 16k needs to be loaded in the 2nd frame while there is only a dynamic textfield in there. (when I remove it, the amount that needs to be loaded drops to about 0.5 kb)
How is that possible?? I really don't get it.

Who can help me on this one??

    Thanks.

    Texts are a lot better
The preloaders for the photography don't work tho ... they appearead for a sec then dissapeared ...
Maybe you should do the preloader for those photography sections from the main movie, not from the photography movies.

Nice work. You probably should make the navigation a little clearer on that first page. I saw that color changin picture and waited for something else to happen. Maybe just a little message or something.

    A. Its a nice simple design.

    B. A little more content (description) to go with each photos would be useful.

    C. The preloaders for some of the photos are not working ... not showing % or bytes loaded.

    nice work!

I'm not to sure if I like the way you display the horizontal images inside the "box". Why did you choose to have them off centered? Just because you could? I don't think it's necessary!

In the contact section... you should have a contact form or even a guestbook. Something to fill all the negative space. It just seems too bland

I like the color scheme Overall site is well balanced.

    Keep it up

change framerates.....hmmm I'll see what I can do.

About the images: you mean that the thumbnails are in the upper left corner? I did that so that I still have the center space available for the larger images. If I didn't do that, it would all become a bit crowded in the center of the movie.

About the contactform/guestbook: I would like that but unfortunately with my provider I can't place my own scripts. I could go for a free guestbook, but then I wouldn't be able to fully customize it.....

BTW: do you like the soundloops??

with the use of photos, im not sure its best to have the diagonal cutoffs. I like your sound menu and think the rest of your menus should look similar. The site seems a little to big.

That's a real nice and clean site...how did you get your photos to appear so clean?

My images always appear blurry in Flash (and thats without scaling it)....

    Hi J-Luv,

glad you liked my site and pictures.

About the pictures: I didn't do anything really special with them..... at least not that I'm aware of

I just scanned them into Photoshop and chose the 'save for web' option. Quality is about 60 to 70% in Photoshop, otherwise filesize would become too large.
I imported each picture into it's own Flashmovie. In publish settings I have JPEG quality set to 100%.
Filesizes for the swf's range from 20 to 30kb

Well, that's about all there was to it. (well, first ofcourse I had to take the pictures and make sure they all we're crisp and clear (is that English.....)

    Cheers.
