    Hey,

I noticed that Swift 3D doesn't have a whole lot of materials. Is there a place to download more? Is it pretty easy to make my own materials? Thanks.

I honestly have not seen any places where you can download materials... I've been busy making my own set of "metallic" materials myself.

who knows... that would be cool though

    sorry.

    ooh?

Could you possibly send me some of the materials you've made? What does it take to make my own materials?

Have you tried going Setup-->Materials-->Add and making some new ones - it is easy, but relatively limited, but may also be the only way to do this at the moment.

    Cheers,

th3franz, the easiest way to create "metals" - it's not really reflective like real metal btw - is to create your own via the material editor. I just created a new group, and have been populating it with metal look alikes.

    flick explained it best above.

    hope that helps

    lol.

yeah, I ended up finally using a couple today. in mesh gradient rendering, my gold looks more like a shiny carrot.

    instead of karat. get it?

yes, I know. corny joke of the day. I'm through, I promise...
