Thread: Could i do this with a .txt file?

    i have a text box with a scroller..... and i am gonna have a .txt file on brinkster that i update with the latest news (manually by editing the text file!) can i read this into a texbox/scroller? jsut wonderin and thanx in advance!

    r both files .swf and .txt on the same domain ???

    means both r on brinkser ???? or whatever ... then u can do it ...

    MX allows movie communication across domains now. Although I'm not sure you could do it with a text file across domains but you could do it with another swf that just has a text field in it that reads from the edited text file.

    dont know but i read that THEY MUST BE HAVING SAME DOMAIN... never tested ..

    That was in 5. Now there is a new security function you can use so that the movie will only accept connections from YOUR other movie. Read around this forum, I asked this before.
