Shouldn't be ATM, I use ATM error free. Did you trash your flash prefrences? Might became corrupt somehow,, and I'm sure you have Flash5.a right?

Cant be ATM, atm is the stablest non mac extension I've ever used. Things like problems dragging movie clips onto the stage (general "flash" problems) usually are because of a corrupt file. For some strange reason many Mac flash files (Dont know about PC) get corrupt. Try making a new file and see if that works........and remember, always work on copies to prevent corrupt files

I had a file do that, it disappeared into the trash after i had to hard restart my computer. I was lucky though, that could have quickly been hours gone, and a very pissed client.

maybe this helps:

Also install the latest ATM and check for corrupt fonts.

dragging problem solved!!!
thanks to everyone who tried to help...I went to the bookstore for something else last night and came across the solution - with OS 9 there is a problem- in order to correct it- you do a search in sherlock with advanced options- type in drag for the file and then select "is invisible"- do a search- delete the file and then restart...if this doesn't work- (and it didn't for me)- then select visible instead- and delete the file...
YEAH!!! works fine now...
~thanks again~
