I support iCEBERG2000s proposal. I'd also like it to be in Berlin or somewhere in Germany/Europe
At the last FK conference in Singapore I spoke at, the guys (James, Trav), talked about doing one in Germany because Internet.com had an office there.
And I'd also like a Flash Badass Session in there again, we had lots of fun doing that one. And People liked it, too.
The last conference had also some problems, cause it wasn't made clear who should attend single sessions. At FlashForwards they use some short of descriptions to tell the people who can understand the Session. Like ActionScript Beginner... we should thing of doing something simular.
John, contact me if I can again be from any help planning this conference.

something about the creative process, i see so many people approach a project half-cocked, they get started without even understanding their objectives.
Along these lines, I'd love to see a really in-depth animation presentation from start to finish, maybe touching upon the different tools which could be used. Last Flashforward I went to, they had a semi-entertaining animation presentation, but when it came down to it, it was really just a guy with a wacom saying "hey, look what I can do in Flash!".
Actually, one area I think hasn't been addressed often enough is scripting and animation - generally the tutorials lean too far in one direction or the other...

well i ll vote for the 3 main things Im working and researching right now:

I think a usability/Design principles session is a must !

that's partly what i was trying to get at with my creativity for coding thing, i know so many talented designers who are afraid of delving beyond the simple AS codes because they think they can't code stuff unless they're programmers.
I feel that once people get into the coding and seehow coding can lead to more creativity, especially dynamic features and some basic math, they will feel far more confident in using flash creatively.

I would love to see 'intermediate' stuff.
I am definately not a beginner... but I am no way near the advanced stream. something introducing people into the actionscript world, or taking flash a bit further than motion tweens would be great....

Multi-User Applications. Video & Voice. Maybe a Multi-User whiteboard that uses the new Drawing API would be interesting to explore. I think has tremendous potential for Online Education and Workgroup Applications.
Hold it in Vancouver,BC.

Mini ***** hotel style voice chat, peep to peep (You select the person, they confirm) but wouldn't that require the newer CF, or would it be out by then?
I would also like to see a session about speed and optimisation. I'm stuck in N Ireland, so I probably wont see it anyway.

Would that be some stuff on your machine? We need your IP to see it.

I think e-learning should be coverd. its a little talked about subject with deep implications in this version of the program.
Of course 3D should be covered as well.
I would suggest Chrissy Rey ( writer of the book from Macromedia "Authorize training from the source") She developed most of MMs training material and is a very good friend of mine. Were putting a project together for a customer right now and we retain the rights to the code so if we wanted to do a session it would be no big deal.
and I am available for the 3D session again. Regards, Bill

Starkey,
If the conference is held anywhere other than the US, I most likely would not be able to attend (most people would feel about their home location as well). However, I would be interested in, say, subscription-based entrance to either simulcast sessions or archived sessions.
I don't know about anyone else, but the events list you have going so far looks great and I wouldn't want to miss any of it.
Oh, and one last thing I think would totally benefit the freelance community...
-Going it on your own (a methodical approach to the home-based business; including legal aspects, incorporating, basic accounting, marketing, pricing) It seems like this could all be lumped into, say, a 2 hour session. However, to do it justice this may need a conference of its own

I would like to see the conference move around a lot more...
I know it costs a lot... but I am sure that if you got smaller venues, and moved it around for instance sydney melbourne... the LA, san fran etc... you would get more people showing up...
I k now a lot of people could not attend because of locations before... but it would be nice to have something that is accessable

Not PWD
Well, I was thinking some where in the U.S.A on the east, (they're always done in the west). I would like to see topics on new MX, and anction scripting for pro's.
Maybe cartooning.

I love the idea of a 'going it on your own' session. As someone who's been researching this a lot lately (spoken to 2 tax laywers, the Franchise tax board, and even the IRS, and have read "The Idiot's Guide" per Scott's suggestion), I'm interested to hear some more professional opinions/experiences.
Also, hearing/seeing some female design work would be something I'd look forward to.
The thing I'd most like to see is a session on db, php (or perl, etc), and flash MX integration.
So far we've had one in AUS, the far East, and now it's time to represent the states, where the 1st (or is it 2nd) largest membership base lives. But don't go too far from the motherland AUS. San Fran sounds nice don't it.
