    Who said Canadians weren't funny?

    He may be the world's richest man, but that didn't prevent Bill Gates from falling for an April Fool's Day joke by two Quebec radio comics pretending to be Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien.
    He (Sebastien Trudel) said he was surprised that Gates's aides did not check to see if it was really the prime minister's office on the line.
    And how does Microsoft respond?

    "We are taking it in good fun -- and we are glad they did not call collect," said Sean Sundwall, public relations manager at Microsoft.
    I've looked, but couldn't find the phone call online. Any Canadians hear this one or know where we could hear it ourselves?

    The first half seems to be all in French - but at 2:22 seconds in it, it works.

    Hes computer "crashes". Right in front of him. I want to do that, give a presentation to Mr Gates and then make the computer crash! That would be good...

    i got the conversation in the midle at the radio last week...

    But i tought the guy imitating jean Chrétien (canada prime minister) was talking to bill Clinton...

    I just realize it was to bill gates and i think it's much more funny that way..

    i suppose it's not that funny for english people not understanding french ... The french comment the guy make are sometimes very funny...

    well he refer to a quebec known public persons (Varda a girl that work on a show about sex and she is week after week trying things she found in sex shop.. not trying it on tv but make comments about the things and she's known to have sleep with most of the artist people man or women). And he also refer to a well known montreal strip club (chez paré) where he invite him. They didn't put the all conversation in their site thought and i remember there was much more french comments. Like when he compare bill to a known criminal (Maurice Mom Boucher president of Hell's Angels montreal cells.) I don't remember about the rest but anyway you have to hear it to found it funny..

    Most of canadian are not french but english...

    about 35 % are french but are not recognized as a distinct nation .. And i don't care. By the way i'm french so i could make this comment ... I don't want any separatist yelling at me.

    or at least he was wrong about french canadian. Here in quebec humorist make much more money then any comedien, singer (except Celine Dion of course) or doctor. They are the star ...

    Wow, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to offend you at all. Canada really is a great country, and I don't want anyone to think otherwise. They are the US's biggest trade partner, they have exceptionally friendly people, and the skiing is great. Please disregard my previous comment.

    i posted this news on my board. some stupid guy said the whole thing is a joke. even after i showed all the major news agencies reporting the same event, he still claims it's a fraud of french djs. we're both canadians though.
