Detect Player Version and Auto Download

I design on a Mac and I realize that the auto download thing won't work on a Mac.

I'm having trouble with Windows users visiting my site and the can't see squat since they don't have the latest player. I thought Flash would download it for Windows users, no?

You need a bit of javascript to detect whether they have the plugin and auto install it if its not there. (Though i though PC browsers were supposed to do it anyway)...
