    It's time for the first semi-reoccurring Art & Anime footer competition!


    The "theme" of this particular competition is best animated footer - animation can encompass characters, abstract animation, animated designs, or scripted/generative animations, etc. It's pretty open, as long as you adhere to the standard Flashkit footer guidelines. 300 pixels wide by 40 high, 15k, no sound. Feel free to interpret the theme as you see fit, but any entries outside of those parameters will not be considered as valid entries.

    You can feel free to create multiple entries, but only the one you designate as the final entry will be considered for the competition (that means no loadMovie commands). If you will be using a name or any identifying information in the footer (after the competition), please replace the text with any combination of the words "Flashkit Art & Anime" for the sake of the competition.

    All submissions to the competition should be made open source. You can substitute your actual footer source with one with "placeholder" content if you are concerned about characters being used inappropriately, but it should act and function the same way as the original.

    Contest starts today (April 17th), and will run through May 15th. After then, all entries will be posted for voting (which should run another week - exact length to be determined).

    The winning entry will receive a copy of the D7Peacemaker DVD and Soundtrack.

    Other prizes may be considered depending on how many entries we receive.

    The contest is open to anyone who is a registered member of Flashkit.

    Entries should be sent to doraemon@perfectlyfunctional.com with your Flashkit user name, a valid e-mail address and a URL where the footer can be viewed (this will ensure that it shows at the proper size). Please do not send me the actual file (.fla or .swf), or any personal information until it is requested.

    I'll be posting more details about the voting process, etc. in the near future. Use this thread for any questions/concerns you might have.

    Note that this contest is not being run by Flashkit or Internet.com, so if you've got any problems, send 'em my way.

    Btw, after thinking about all my footer ideas I'm really lost now... I can't choose and then develop the project in my head...

    Remember - the more entries I get, the more motivation to do contests with prizes in the future.

    And not everything needs to be kept secret until then - this is still a Flash resource site - post here with any questions you might have, etc (heck - ask me, I'm not competing. )
