The first link was a dead link.
The second site was pretty nice. The first thing I'd change though, would be to put a skip intro button on the preloader movie.

FIrst link loads after 2 minutes or so but then just goes to the "do you see the above animation page." I don't see the above animation but I do have flash installed.
The second one is ok - I see a lot of form over content, however.
Instead of having a ton of sliced images, split up the top and bottom image. Then you can work with tables to use 1px wide slices in the repeating textures.
The scroll area is simply too small. I'd work on this.
