    Do you mean in another application or in Flash?

    I'll do both ways...

    In Flash, you just have to change the alpha channel to 0.

    In Photoshop, cut out the picture you want to have a transparent background, paste it into a new document that has a transparent background and then export it as a .gif or a .png... change the colour palette to adaptive and bingo... you've got yourself a pic with a transparent background!
