Flash MX compatibility issues..... pls help - under deadline!!

I have seen that flash MX now boasts a perspective tool...

I was just wondering whether the tool could be used to tween text similar to that in the intro of the Star Wars films... Would the text tween from large to small smoothly without having to keyframe the effect?

Also, (last one!) do previous versions of the flash player support these affects or is it only with v.6 player????

I just did a few tests, and it looks like you can't distort text with the envelope or perspective tools...unless you break the letters apart into flat fills...but then, you'd have to really do each paragraph by hand.

It seems to me the distort tools are very limited.

Oh, and the distort tools are specific to MX, but once you have your objects distorted to your liking, you can tween them and still publish to the Flash 5 player.

But, you still have to do it all by hand...
