how can I create a countdown as the movie

I want to create a countdown as the movie (4,3,2,1) and I don't know how.

R = Remove
P = Place
In the countdown scene, it's going to be like this:

4- ______P_____R
3- ____________P_____R
2- __________________P_____R
1- ________________________P_____R
0- ______________________________P_____R

Hi!

Are you looking for something like this?
I've had the idea lying about for awhile, but I haven't polished it up yet..
It's just a circle that fades in and has some remove and place effects to get that flickering effect and the countdown is much as described above, simple place and remove functions..
