Typing text directly in Swish - Text does not seem very sharp!

Hi

I am doing some stuff at the moment where I have a background jpf that fades.

I am using the 'text' feature in swish 2 but when I preview the movie the text does not seem very sharp.

Is there any way to over come this as the text looks decidely smudgy

What font are you using and at what point size. Are you previewing in the player, a browser, or within Swish? If within Swish are you at 100% size or some other factor? If you are at less than about 14 point, many fonts will look smudged as they are anit-aliased (to make them smoother at larger point sizes). There are many threads on this forum and on the Fonts forum here at FlashKit about so-called pixel fonts, that are specifically designed for to remain sharp at smaller sizes.
