i tried importing a animated gif and jpeg pic. into the swish movie...when i play it...it doesn't animate..it just seems like a regular pic. instead of a animated gif. or jpeg. file.

well - JPEG files can't be animated ...

Did you import the GIF file as a Sprite ?

If so - open the sprite and make sure there isn't a STOP action on the first frame of the sprite ...

Otherwise, you'll need to post a link to the GIF file (and/or SWI file)

    Peace,
    Cadence

One more question for you ...

Do you have the latest version of SWiSH (build# 2002.04.17) -- if not, download it from http://www.swishzone.com/download.html - and install it over your current version (do not uninstall first) ...

There have been bugs in the past with Animated GIF files - so, the upgrade might help ...

If you already have that version - please send me the GIF file - and I will try to see how it behaves ... cadence@purifiedproductions.com

If nothing else works - go to http://www.swishzone.com and click on "Support" from there - just go to the support section and log a support call to the SWiSH Team -- they will help you as well ..

    Peaces,
    Cadence

Okay -- well, it works for me -- so, here is my final suggestion ...

Use the Insert Menu .... Select Image ...

When you insert an Animated GIF file - you have a settings box that opens ... Select, Import as Sprite -- and MAKE SURE that you select ALL FRAMES ...

This should work ... (as it does when I test it)

    Peaces,
    Cadence
