    How do i mask a motion guide...????

    When i click on the motion guide layer..i cant mask it

    a motion guide should'nt be masked as it hides it selves when your movie is exported

    Create a movie clip that contains the motion guide an the the object that is constrained to it, then simply mask the movie clip instance.

    i usually just set the alpha to 0

    no need to mask

    You don't have to mask it. It won't show in the final output. If you don't want to see it while you work then I usually click on the lock and the eyeball in the layer to hide it and to lock it so you can't move it. That's all you have to do!
