    hi

im doing sort of a jukebox thing and i have some sounds on there and when I click on one it plays but when you click on it again to stop the sound from playing the sound starts playing again i was wondering that the method/what you have to do to make it so you click on it once and then you click on it again and the sound stops. Ive tried everything and i was wondering if you knew the method.

    Thanx

    Try this:

    http://www.deadyeti.com/into3dfa/resources

If you download any of the sound sets, the movie file that they are in will be in the zip. Open the movie file and check out how the main button is set up. You will notice that there is an off and on button and that they trade places.

Also make sure you don't have your movie file set to loop.

    Hope this helps some........

Look again, a little closer, the main sound(on all of the sets) has an off and on button, the 'on' button won't show up until the the 'off' button is clicked, and vica-versa. You're right about the moue-over and button down sounds though, they are constant.

The trick is to use 2 buttons, one on top of the other. When your movie starts only have one of them showing, then when it is clicked, you hide it, and show the other one. This can aldo be done by placing the buttons in a view chooser and switching between views.

I'll post an example of a single sound with an off/on button in few.

    Ok, try this one:

    http://members.aol.com/moodxiii/off_on.html

    and the movie file:

    http://members.aol.com/moodxiii/off_on.movie

All of the actions are on the 'button down' make sure you have the 'element has properties' button clicked or it won't allow you to hide show your buttons. There is no sound on the movie file, so you will get an error message saying that it couldn't locate the file, just ignore it and go on.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
