    Is there any way to save an MX fla so that it will open in Flash5??

    i tried it myself with no success. i guess there is no backward compatibility...

    select save as and select: flash 5 document in the save as type: dropdown.

    When you save it as a Flash 5 document, you will lose all your Flash MX code.

    no.

    nope, you can make a flash 5 to mx but no mx to flash. sowee.
