cause streaming webcams is not all it does. And there are still some bugs in it!

I know cause the company I'm working at are beta testing it, just like mediatemple, so I've played with it some...

Can you tell us other things it can do, other then video and audio? And how much bandwidth does it take up?

oki I don't know if I'm gonna get trouble for this but here are some fetures of it:

serverside SharedObjects - With this you can actually store stuff on the server just like with the locally stored sharedObject. chats and multiplayer games is redicusly simple to make with this.

netStream - this is what lets you stream stuff over the internet. like video & audio. and the best thing... you hardly need to be a coder to do it... you just create a few objects hook them up to each other and you're done...

netConnection - same as localConnection but lets you contact swf's wieved by other users on the internet... With this you can make a working chat almost without a single line of serverside script!

the downpart is that AFAIK the server uses serverside javascript as it's only serverside scripting language...

thanks, but i've already coded something similar.... what i need to convert is a live webcam feed, not the pics taken by the webcam.... i could use an java applet for this, but i need it integrated into a flash UI.

Ok. English is a good language. I’m sure most of us speak it, even if not very well. Blechdose = TinCan; I’m sure you've heard of it...

Sign up for the beta program or whatever at macromedia. If you meet their qualifications they may choose to let you test some of their beta products. Your not going to get anything by asking macromedia here...

    http://www.macromedia.com/support/programs/beta.html
    betapp@macromedia.com

No ones going to get anything from macromedia if you ask for non-legit (illegal) products.

Just chill, read the newsgroups, and wait for something to leak/be announced from macromedia.
