Thread: running projector file on old mac

    i want to play flash projectors files for retail display.
    i have a couple old macs i'd like to use.
    a, don't laugh, quadra 700 and a powerpc 7100.
    they have mac os 7.1.
    when i tried to start projector i got an error -192 message.
    any clues?

    error -192 means that you try to run an ppc native application on a system or mac that doesn't support ppc native code.

    as far as i can remember:
    on a quadra 700 with 68040 processor the highest flash you can run is version3, because flash4 plugins and higher don't support non-native systems.

    on the 7100 I think you have to install at least OS8.1 or 8.5 (OS7 is not native!).

    There's a cool little docbook with them in called something like "sadmac" or "bomb", i can't remember...

    flash projector 3.0 from flash 4.0?

    i am using flash version 4.0.
    i need flash projectors in version 3.0 to run on mac (pre-ppc ).
    how do i make a flash projector in ver.3.0 from flash ver. 4.0?
    i realize that i can publish a flash 3.0 .swf file, but i can't figure out the projector thing..........

    I dont' think you can, unless you can get a copy of the Flash 3 player, and then open the swf and choose make projector from the file menu. I'm not even sure if this option exists in the flash 3 player though.
