Thread: Transparent Flash movies Vs Netscape and Macs

    I know the transparent parameter doesn't work on Netscape, but can anyone tell me if it works with IE on Apple Macs?

    This will work on IE

    This will work on IE 5.5 and above only tested on windows
    <param NAME="wmode" Value="Transparent">
    Not sure if it will work with macs and it will defenetly not work wiht N4 or N6. Dont know about N7 Which cam out yesterday i think.

    I've never used "transparent parameters".

    Ok, thanks, dude. Simply add the following parameter in the html page that your flash file is embeded:

    param NAME="wmode" value="transparent"

    Just paste in under the other param fields such as Quality etc.

    This works on IE only and thus far, I only know that it works on PC's - it should make the bg of the flash movie transparent, and I need to know if it works when viewed on a mac!
