is it possible to import something (for me from photoshop) that not only needs to have a transparent background, but needs to fade to transparency? (as in the graphic itself, not having anything to do with animation)
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
    thanks

    Hi,
Yes it is certainly possible to import a graphic that fades to transparency . for this in photoshop you have to have an image which is in transparent background. now use the Export Transparent Image Wizard. this option is under the help menu (shortcut is ALT + H + E ). select the PNG option in the wizard. this comes as you answer the questions the wizard asks. now save this image.
In Flash import this image and now you have what you wanted.
