    OLD DOG NEW TRICKS

    Hi.

I'm a bit of an old dog learning new tricks. Trying
to keep the old grey matter form dying completely.

I initially used Direct HTML to make my web pages.
but now let Dreamweaver 4 do all the work. So having
drawn a cell, I simply put my .SWF in that cell and scale
it to fit. Looking at the code, I can see the <embed>
tag, but still need to include the .SWF FILE for it
to appear when I Run the .html file.

From some posts I have seen, some folk have asked
do I FTP the HTML or the .SWF.

From some of the replies, I got the impression that
if embeded, the .SWF files were not needed.

Please can someone clarify this for me.. thanks.

You would have to upload both the HTML file and the SWF.

The EMBED tag you see is to load the Flash Player ActiveX Control which would then play the swf. It doesn't embed the .swf file.

    Hope that helps

    OLD DOG NEW TRICKS

    THANKS ATATTON.

I assumed that was the case. I just got confused when
I read some of the other posts. Kind of got me wondering.

Not difficult to confuse me these days..
