I got an offer from someone to work for him at home in building and updating ASP/HTML pages (Which means I get the files by mail and return 'em by mail).
I'm not very femiliar with the payment I should get because I work usualy with flash.
Can you help me and give me some idea of how much should I charge per hour?
Thanks...

As much as you feel you should deserve for the work and effort you put into the project.

Hi,
I think that flash (in particular scripting) development should be paid somewhat better than plain html pages, so reduce your flash payments by anything in between 10 % and a third...
Add a small penalty for having to work with asp...
Are you as productive when working at home as when at somebody else's office? Wife and kids distracting you?
Do you see working at home as an advantage? (saving gas driving to the office vs. needing a better monitor)
Try to express thes both things as a factor that you want to multiply your hourly with.

How about?
Do you think 20$ per hour is overcharged or a cheap price?

Hi in the uk i would charge £25 to £30 pounds an hour
i dont know what country u are in so i can comment on the $
usa, canada ?
also will u be working all week doing this (40 hours) or will u just get 1 to 10 hours work per week
working from home has its plus 's but also draw backs
if u are used to talking to ppl day in (design studio) u will find it hard to just be on your own all the time
mb, mb not, depends on u
i talk to the cats and dont notice it now, either that or cooking the phone bill
also age if u are 15 u wont get as much as a 30 yr old
and experience, are u self taught or have u been to college etc
ps get him to sign a legal document of some sort, so u dont get ripped off
hope it works out for u

Okay, I was only kidding -
I would say what you charge has to be relative to your
a. experience
b. diversity
c. portfolio
d. value
Something is only worth what somone will pay.
Be careful of a few things.
a. dont charge too little. People will think you are worth it.
b. Dont undercut other designers on a regular basis. Be firm and charge a reasonable price. Together we will all succeed.
c. charge what you think your work is worth. If you must wheel and deal, be sure to let your client know that you DONT normally work for less than x.
