and it finally occured to Mills that you cant afford to make mistakes when you play at this level !

he said : "I have to accept my part in that without doubt - it just goes to show you can't afford to make any mistakes at international level or you will be punished.
There is nothing I can do about it now

I just chested it down and it got away from me, and then when I cleared it, it went straight to another player who scored. But I just have to accept that this game's gone now and there is nothing I can do about it.

I think we showed in the first half how well we can play, so we must just go out against Argentina - whoever is playing - and do that again.

We started well and then we sat back too much and let them come into it. You also have to give Sweden credit because they started to put a lot of long balls in to two good front players. They will definitely cause other teams problems, but we are disappointed with a draw."

Just like the Irleland/Cameroon game. Only saw bits of the first half and most of the second half between England/Sweden. Sweden were unlucky not to win it in injury time.

Injuries have claimed another caption. Brazilian captain Emerson out after dislocating his shoulder.

Why are all the games with the lower ranked teams high scoring? Grr! Lose quite a bit on betting this weekend.

South Africa was lucky to end up with the draw. They had all the possesion - but they couldn't do anything with it. At least they didn't lose.

Brazil ain't gonna win this one playing at their arrogant 40% capacity like they claimed.

Bastürk, the smallest player on the field has been great during the German season.

They are arrogant sods but when you can field the likes of Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Juninho, Edmilson, Lucio, Roberto Carlos (overrated) you're bound to be confident I guess France were over confident against Senegal too

Basturk did have a good season, so did Lucio though

oh yeah absolutely. Lucio and Bastürk want to leave Leverkusen though. Out of the Brazil team I like Lucio the most, he's a very unconventional style player, dunno what it is but he's trying things differently and just seems to play an odd style but quite successful. I like that.

One thing I do now: emerson's not gonne become a goalie!

Brazil has 2 problems - for the players to get a European working permit they have to play in a certain number of internationals, which results in the coach not always fielding his best side. Secondly they seem to lack teamspirit, no matter how good they are there's always the chance of losing against a side with less skills but better teamspirit.

They need the work permit to stay in the country. The English premiership will be removing the limit on the number of non EU players (it's currently 3) you can field on a match day so we'll be seeing many more south americans and other non eu players in England next season
