    can you place a plus sign "+" or a minus sign "-" inside a variable and then let it execute such as height = height minusvariable 1; if not please tell me another way to do it

    You meen as in:

    myVar = -;
    myOtherVar = 100 myVar 10;

    Because, no, you cant.
