the latest mac quicktime has flash capabilities but it seems to be crashing the ie browser when a text box loads.
problems with this is that:
1. anyone who has that set-up thinks they have the flash plugin already installed. even my friends, who are quite computer literate did not know they didn't have the real flash plugin. warnings and "are you sure?" didn't help.
2. my detection script allowed the quicktime player to continue. which cause a browser lock-up (ouch!!)
so the question is: is there a detection script that will detect against quicktime flash capabilites vs. a real flash plugin?
or is there anything i can do to prevent it?
thanks in advance for any thoughts on this one.
