I need to create a navigation system in which the screen opens up and closes like the one on http://www.atelier-image-in.com/ . I'm not too interested on the blur effect, nor the scrolling. What i need to know is how to make the screen open like that. I've tried masking, but it hasn't worked very well for me. If you have any suggestions, i'd appreciate it very much.

Check out my site http://zxs.com if it's the same effect, it's masking. If you however are trying to open an odd shape with this effect, you need to delete the tween and set your mask frame by frame. In my page the mask covers two layers. One is for the image, and one is for the lighting effect (or the image over the image until the image itself is ready to be exposed).

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if there was a way to achieve the same effect without having to mess with tweening. In other words, i was looking for more control over the masking with actionscript. Anyone have an idea how to control this with actionscript? Thanks in advance.

P.S. Zebra- nice site, i really like the preloader mose-follower.
